Just recently I decided to leave the old nine to five and take the plunge starting up my own bakery business. Everyone thought I was a bit mad, but I’d always had a passion for baking and I felt sure that with the business know how I’d picked up I would be able to translate that into success. I’ve still learnt quite a lot along the way and I’m going to let you into a few tricks that you may want to consider when and if you decide to embark on your own business.
- Get a really good logo. It might seem a bit trivial, but a nice logo placed on your business card that really stands out and captures everything about your business is well worth the investment. Don’t be afraid to take some time on this as it can be an excellent way to attract business and get you companies name out there.
- Ensure you have a website. I can’t stress this but enough. You need to have a presence online and that means a really good website. Again, there are some things in business in that cannot be rushed into and this is one of them. A poorly executed website will get you nowhere fast and a Gloucester Website Design company can certainly get you that website that you need. Just follow this link asking yourself Where can I go in Gloucester for a website design and it will proved you with the answer.
- Get an online ordering system. Shops are yesterday. You could get an order at any time and an ordering system will keep that income rolling in when people come to your website and place their orders. The frontline shop is in decline and so while its nice to have a retail presence you should not forgot about the part of the store.
- Make sure that you have a good working relationship with your suppliers and your vendors. The final piece of advice I has is to make sure that you keep well in with the people that you are treading with and that you keep the delivery’s coming and that you can have a good chat with so that there is a slight bit of ley way you need their help.
Whatever you’re heading and chosen path hopefully this will help you make a few decisions by steering you into the right direction.
