In the run up to Christmas, it is good fun to do festive activities to get us in the mood – although activities like this Panto Preston, or visits to Santa may not go ahead this year, one of the best things that we can do to enjoy the Christmassy feeling is to settle in with a festive film.

Home Alone – This classic Christmas comedy is a fun and exciting family film about a young boy left at home on his own over Christmas. Unfortunately for him as well as being alone, his house is the target of two burglars. This is a firm favourite that everyone will enjoy.

The Snowman – Based on the classic Raymond Briggs book, this is the story of a beautiful friendship between a boy and his snowman that magically comes to life on Christmas eve. The gorgeous animation and music, as well as a story that pulls on the heartstrings makes it one of the greatest Christmas films ever.
