Birmingham’s most famous pubs

Since the screening of the Peaky Blinders people have been showing a lot more interest in the city of Birmingham. The tale of this notorious family gang rising up through the tough streets of the Post Great War Black country has spawned changes in fashion and attitudes towards Britain’s second city. Much of the show is shot in the fictional Garrison Tavern, not a place you can visit but a film set. There are plenty of Brimingham pubs you can visit and even run one with Finance For Pubs  from specialistbusinessfinance.co.uk/hospitality-finance/finance-for-pubs.

  1. The Wellington in Bennetts Hill. It’s the palace where you will find the fans of craft beer eagerly mixing with the locals and regulars. “The Welly ”, as it is affectionately known, is far away one of Birmingham’s most popular pubs. Its origins lie back some 20 years when its founders were determined to bring more choice to the populace when it came out beers they could try.
  2. The Trocadero of Temple Street. The one pub in Brum where the original owner from 1912 might pay you a visit as its ghost still walks the bar. It’s the one place that the Shelbys could have drank in as it was opened when they were supposed to be around.
